Dr. Heather Frame has opened a clinic to assist people with concerns about osteoporosis and their bone health.
A physician referral is required at this time, so if you are a patient interested in meeting with Dr Frame, please ask your family physician or primary care nurse for a referral.
Dr. Frame is happy to see people who are wondering if they are at risk for osteoporosis but have not yet been diagnosed. She can help determine if further testing would be beneficial.
Dr. Frame also sees people who have been previously diagnosed with osteoporosis and are wondering about their medication options, including drug holidays, drug switches, and medication discontinuation.
While Dr. Frame is a family physician not a specialist, she has a special interest in Osteoporosis, with experience working in the Osteoporosis Clinic of the Mature Women’s Clinic at Victoria Hospital (2005-2017). She has also been actively involved with Osteoporosis Canada; the only national organization serving people who have or are at risk for osteoporosis. She served on their Board of Directors from 2010-2021 including 2 years as President of the Board. She has participated in many committees of their Scientific Advisory Board, most recently having been one of the coauthors of the latest Clinical Practice Guideline for Management of Osteoporosis and Fracture Prevention in Canada.
